The Client Situation & Challenge
Maple Leaf Foods (MLF) is a global leader in consumer-packaged foods, focused on protein-based branded products that are carbon neutral. For more than 100 years, they’ve made delicious, healthy protein that consumers love under iconic national and regional brands. D’Arcy Finley, Vice President of Brand & Marketing of MLF, first contacted 1-DEGREE/Shift through our collaborator Valeo Leadership, to get insight into a pressing and strategic challenge: maintaining employee engagement and well-being as they grew. They wanted to ensure their team had the skills and knowledge to improve fuel their wellbeing despite increasing demands.
Our Approach
We introduced our high impact well-being offering, Vitality Squad, a six-month program based on a proven & world class well-being framework, PERMAH (to learn more and/or conduct a complimentary personal well-being assessment, go here).
The program targeted two cohorts of leaders to gather, learn, and elevate well-being together. This program combined group workshops with personalized coaching.
Participants developed improved emotional awareness, positive health practices, boundary setting, a link between personal values and role/organization mission and relationship building tools.
